OVW news and notes

We don't hear a whole lot about Ohio Valley Wrestling since it ceased being WWE developmental. April Hunter posted some things yesterday about what's been going these days on her MySpace bulletin. I thought the crack about OVW wrestlers being too busy to get arrested was funny.

OVW Wrestling Update: It turns out staying in Louisville KY wasn't a bad idea after all. All is not 'dead' as many originally thought. But they do think a bit too locally, rather than globally which is why you might not have heard much about them since they stopped being a developmental territory. ....

So, here's what's been going on: OVW is still running four shows a week, including TV. The wrestlers still seem a little too busy to fit in getting arrested over here. OVW's weekly show is seen on the CW channel Saturday nights, or worldwide download for just $2 on their site. Ovwrestling. com/home. htm....

Their women's championship has just gone 24/7, which has made defending it really fun, surprising and with great twists as you can imagine.

WWE is also still working with OVW. Plus, a current superstar is sent in every week. Last week it was Armando Alejandro Estrada.
He wrestled the current Worlds TV Champion, JD Michaels (http://www.
myspace. com/jd_michaels) in a phenomenal match and verbal back and forth that fans are still talking about.

In the past two months, we've seen Jerry Lawler, CM Punk, Tommy Dreamer, Nitro & Melina…and Shelton Benjamin here on Friday for the 4th of July. They even had a kick ass women's program featuring ODB in June.....

Everyone's super excited to have Mick Foley, Paul London and John Cena coming soon. This, of course, in addition to the current roster of veteran talent which includes Joey Matthews, Nick Dinsmore & Rob Conway.

So, I'm happy all has worked out. Louisville is very pretty and quite a large city that's "wrestling friendly"…oh, and my back therapy costs less here.

Always a plus!
