For those who have asked, there is currently an on again/off again real-life relationship between John Cena and Mickie James. The two are dating and the storyline used on TV was a small rib on the two but has since been scrapped.

WWEShop.com's currently holding a contest for fans to win some prizes such as a laptop computer, a Playstation 3 package, the SummerSlam Anthology set, a $250 WWE Shop gift certificate, and more. In the sign-up form, they ask you to choose your favorite WWE Superstar. It's a drop down list featuring every Superstar on the roster, including the names of two wrestlers that have yet to debut on television.

When Ron Killings makes his television debut, his name will apparently be "R-Truth." That name is listed in the drop down menu. The menu also lists a wrestler that has yet to even work a house show or dark match.

The drop down menu lists a wrestler by the name of Tyrone Evans, who is a developmental wrestler in Florida Championship Wrestling. WWE signed Evans to a contract earlier in the year. They're also listing the latest additions to the main roster including Brian Kendrick's bodyguard Ezekiel, Braden Walker, Ricky Ortiz, and Theodore Long's assistant Tiffany. The list also features Drew McIntyre & James Curtis, who aren't apart of the main roster, and Ashley Massaro, who recently parted ways with WWE. Both Highlanders are also listed twice by accident.

Pro Wrestling Unplugged returns to action for "Family Reunion" on Saturday, July 26 at 7:30pm to Boyle's World Gym, 11000 Roosevelt BLVD in Philadelphia, PA. The PWU Wrestling Academy at Devastation University is sponsoring a Sandman Seminar on Saturday, July 26 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm for the low cost of $25.

ECW's Lena Yada has recently started training for pro-wrestling with UPW in California.

John Cena and Lance Cade are scheduled for an autograph session today at Six Flags, Louisville, KY. The autograph session will begin at 6pm.

Ric Flair will be doing a new series exclusively for WWE.com. The show will be called "Stylin' and Profilin'" and is scheduled to debut this Tuesday. WWE.com currently has a preview of the show up.

A close-up of Jerry "The King Lawler's face, 58, is the cover of July/August 2008 edition of Memphis Sport magazine. The magazine features an article on "The King" discussing the greatest moments of his career, his thoughts on different celebrities such as Andy Kaufman being involved in wrestling, and why wrestling (or according to WWE.com, "sports-entertainment") became so popular in the Memphis area.

Tennessee Independent Wrestling Federation results for Saturday 7-12-08 at the TIWF Showplex Arena- Trenton, Tn.

The beginning of the show saw Commissioner Jon Seymour come to the ring. He announced that Hotrod would not be in attendance tonight because of the beating & humiliation he took last week from Wildside & Waycool. Jon said that Hotrod wasn’t doing so well and that he was in a hospital in Memphis. Jon also announced that Drew Magruder would be absent as well. Drew was on the fundraising campaign trail for Ravishing Randy’s Presidential bid. Jon said that he would be the announcer for the evening and would be joined by a commentator sent by the home office. At that time Wildside’s music plays and he comes dressed like an announcer … all of this much to the dismay of Jon.

Skandor Akbar • Mid-South Wrestling

Then: Akbar (alias Jim Wehba) was the baddest cad around when Mid-South Wrestling ruled these parts. He was a good guy when he launched his career in the 1960s, then he betrayed Danny Hodge and became public enemy No. 1, a flame-throwing “sheik” who played the villain’s role to the hilt.

Being a heel was serious business. Rabid fans cut Akbar’s car tires and broke his windows. Before a New Orleans gig, he received so many death threats that he wore a bulletproof vest when entering the Superdome. “The last 45 years, I got blamed for everything that happened in the Middle East,” said Akbar, who is of Syrian and Lebanese descent.

Now: Akbar, 73, said he loved living in Tulsa at various times during his career as a wrestler and manager. He settled in his home state of Texas (he lives in Garland) and has trained budding wrestlers.

Nostalgia is in vogue, so Akbar often gets asked to make public appearances. Said Akbar, “A lot of people tell me ‘I hated you so much, but I loved every minute of it.’ÿ” Akbar said he never cussed at fans or spat at them when leaving arenas. He just ignored them. That just made them madder.

Akbar doesn’t think he is a bad guy in real life and indicated he has a soft spot for animals. He wonders what fans would think if they could hear him sweet-talk his critters, including Brigitte (named after Bardot), a dog who will be 16 in August. He has had better luck with dogs than wives. One wife died, and he has been through a few others. “This business, it wasn’t really good on marriages.”

But Akbar said he owes everything he has to the wrestling biz. Asked whether it was fun to be a bad guy, Akbar said: “You can get away with a lot of things. The good guys, a lot of them really didn’t like to sign all those autographs. I teased them about it.” Akbar said he just tore up anything fans wanted him to sign. What else would you expect from a good bad guy?

Former WWE Diva Terri "Marlena" Runnels recently expressed an interest in returning to either WWE or TNA in an interview with the Baltimore Sun. "I would love to do something again, but my only thing is that I don't want to wrestle," she said. "It would have to be in a hosting/managing/valet/interview capacity. I have no problems with a bump. When I would get to TV and Vince [McMahon] would say, 'OK, Big Show is going to goozle you and throw you and you're going to land on someone in the second row,' I'd be like, 'Awesome.' But if he would tell me, 'Hey Terri, you've got a bikini paddle on the pole match with another girl,' nothing against the other girls, because I so respect them and what they've trained to do, but I just cannot stand having an actual wrestling match. It's just not for me. I love the big bump. I was the first female to be slammed through a table by The Dudleys — loved that, was stoked. Granted, it didn't feel well the day after or the day after that or the day after that, but I was still very excited to do that bump."

William Regal's WWE Wellness Policy suspension is set to expire on July 20th, so it is possible that he will return at the Great American Bash.

Former TNA superstar Ron Killings was backstage at the Smackdown tapings last night. That should come as no surprise as he's been at every TV taping for the last four months or so. He's also been working SD! house shows as of late. As things stand right now, he is expected to debut on Smackdown soon. This could change though due to the new talent initiative on ECW but he looks to be headed for SD!. This will be Killings' second WWE run as he had a short run as "K-Kwick" a few years ago.

It's the FREE Bryan & Vinny Show! Lots to talk about tonight including two pretty fun shows, Friday Night Smackdown with the epic break-up of Edge and Vickie, and Raw with a nearly-forgotten return, a four-way to determine an interesting number-one contender, some great and some awful segments, and more! Best of all it's FREE, so please post the link or file elsewhere and help spread the word about figurefouronline.com!

Former TNA wrestler Ron "The Truth" Killings, who is scheduled to be called up to the SmackDown roster any week now, has been told he's getting a top-level push upon his debut.
Former TNA wrestler Chris Harris is said to be on the radar for a call-up to the main roster. The 7-time tag team champion is currently situated in Florida Championship Wrestling.
Batista may be added to the main event of the Great American Bash. (Punk, Cena, JBL, Batista - Fatal Four-way) We'll see tonight.

Here's a couple of pics of the brand NEW WWE Divas Championship Title Belt. I guess this one will go to the hottest female wrestler. And the WWE Women's Title will go to the best female wrestler. Or they might bring in Mariah Carey and drop it on her?
